Der Bachelorstudiengang Orthoptik bietet eine umfassende Ausbildung im Bereich der Sehstörungen und deren Behandlung. Studierende erwerben medizinisches Wissen und praktische Fertigkeiten, um in der Diagnostik und Therapie von Sehstörungen zu arbeiten. Es wird eine fundierte interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit gelehrt, die für die Berufspraxis von großer Bedeutung ist. Die Absolventinnen und Absolventen sind ebenso in der visuellen Rehabilitation tätig und wenden moderne Therapieansätze an.
Die Studierenden lernen in diesem Studiengang alles über das menschliche Auge, die häufigsten Augenerkrankungen und deren Behandlungsmöglichkeiten. Schwerpunkte wie Diagnostik, Therapie und Rehabilitation stehen im Fokus des Curriculums.
Das Studium gliedert sich in theoretische Vorlesungen sowie praktische Übungen, die im Rahmen von Praktika in unterschiedlichen Institutionen stattfinden. Am Ende des Studiums wird eine Bachelorarbeit verfasst.
Graduierte der Orthoptik sind befähigt, eigenständig Diagnosen zu stellen, therapeutische Maßnahmen zu planen und ihre Ergebnisse zu evaluieren. Sie verfügen über umfangreiche Fachkenntnisse und praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich der Seh- und Augenheilkunde.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
