The English-language Master's programme in Organic Agricultural Systems and Agroecology equips students with interdisciplinary theoretical and practical knowledge in organic farming. This program allows students to pursue a joint degree or complete it at BOKU only, focusing on the principles of agroecology and sustainability in agriculture.

The Master’s program spans four semesters, structured to include core modules and specialized tracks in either Organic Agriculture or Agroecology. Students also have a unique opportunity to study abroad at partner universities, enhancing their practical and theoretical knowledge in diverse settings.
Graduates acquire comprehensive competencies in the ecological agricultural and food production chain, enabling them to engage effectively in research, consultancy, and policy-making. The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
