This program engages students in sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on organic systems in response to consumer demands for food quality.
Students in the Organic Agricultural Systems and Agroecology master's program study various aspects of organic farming, including organic crop production, organic animal husbandry, and the impact of European policy on organic agriculture. The curriculum also emphasizes agroecology, sustainable land use, and the dynamics of organic markets.
The program is structured over four semesters, with students initially choosing either the AgrEco-Organic or EUR-Organic path. EUR-Organic students spend one year at partner universities, enhancing their international exposure while AgrEco-Organic students can specialize further.
Graduates acquire a comprehensive understanding of the organic agro-food chain, enabling them to engage in research, policy-making, and effective management within the organic sector. They develop competences in sustainable practices, economic analysis, and interdisciplinary problem-solving.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
