This German-language Master's programme in Alpine Natural Dangers/Watershed Regulation allows students to play an active role in protecting Alpine habitats and settlements. The programme develops innovative solutions for dealing with natural hazards, such as avalanches, mudslides, and floods. Through practical projects, interdisciplinary approaches, and state-of-the-art technologies, students are prepared for responsible roles in research, planning, and disaster control.
In the Master’s program for Alpine Natural Hazards / Debris Flow and Avalanche Control, students explore topics related to risk management of natural hazards in alpine environments. The curriculum covers natural science and technical aspects while integrating legal, spatial planning, and disaster management considerations.
The program is organized over four semesters, totaling 120 ECTS credits, and includes a combination of mandatory and elective modules. Students engage in a comprehensive cycle of integrated risk management, culminating in practical training and possibly a thesis project.
