Bachelor of Arts (BA)
The Bachelor program in Transformation Studies, Art x Science is designed to equip students with tools to tackle complex societal challenges through an interdisciplinary approach. It combines artistic and scientific methodologies, enabling students to critically engage with transformation processes. Students will gain insights into how to analyze and propose solutions to pressing global issues, supported by the faculty's artistic expertise and research. Graduates will be prepared for diverse roles in creative industries, research, and public sectors.
Students engage in various artistic disciplines, exploring themes such as visual communication, design, and media while integrating technology and creativity. The program emphasizes practical projects and the exploration of contemporary issues in art and design.
The program is organized over several semesters, culminating in a final thesis project. Students participate in workshops, seminars, and internships to gain hands-on experience in their chosen fields.
Graduates develop a strong set of skills in critical thinking, artistic expression, and technical proficiency. They are equipped to navigate the complexities of the art and design industries.

Third-country (non-EU/EEA) applicants generally need to have their prior qualifications legalised and translated for the admission application. Exact rules depend on the country that issued each document — always confirm with the university's admissions office.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
