Certificate of Internship
The Rotating Internship in Equine Medicine is a postgraduate training programme aimed at recent veterinary medicine graduates. It enhances the basic knowledge and skills acquired during previous studies while applying them in practical, everyday clinical settings. Interns rotate through a variety of specialisms under the mentoring of internationally recognized specialists, preparing them for further careers in equine medicine.
The internship includes various specialties in equine medicine, enhancing interns' clinical abilities through practical experience in real-world settings. It prepares graduates for possible future roles in veterinary hospitals and specialized equine practices.
The program is organized into two semesters, where interns experience hands-on learning in various departments and specialties. It also includes required assessments to gain competencies in treating equine patients.
Graduates will acquire advanced clinical skills in equine medicine, enabling them to manage complex cases and develop expertise through a well-structured mentoring system with experienced professionals.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
