Students in the Evolutionary Genomics and Systems Biology (EGSB) Master's program engage with contemporary biological questions using experimental methods and modern 'omics' approaches. The curriculum combines experimental wet-lab techniques with quantitative dry-lab methods, facilitating an in-depth understanding of evolutionary biology, developmental biology, comparative genomics, and systems biology.
The program spans four semesters, requiring a total of 120 ECTS credits. It is structured around core modules covering essential concepts in evolutionary and systems biology, supplemented by elective courses. The program culminates in a master's thesis and a final defense.
Graduates of the EGSB program gain robust competencies in bioinformatics, data analysis, and experimental design. They acquire the skills necessary to tackle complex biological datasets and to engage in modern evolutionary and systems biology research.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
