Das Masterstudium Lehramt Instrumentalmusik ist auf die fachwissenschaftliche, fachdidaktische und schulpraktische Ausbildung für das Lehramt im Sekundarbereich ausgerichtet. The Master’s program in Instrumental Music Education focuses on both the academic and pedagogical training necessary for teaching in secondary schools. Topics include the development and perfection of selected instruments, music theory, and pedagogical methods tailored for music education.
The program consists of a 6-semester Bachelor’s degree followed by a 4-semester Master’s degree. It emphasizes a combination of coursework in content-specific subjects and practical teaching experiences, including potential internships in educational settings.
Graduates acquire comprehensive knowledge in music theory and pedagogy, enabling them to reflect on and adapt scientific theories to classroom practices. They develop skills in artistic expression and critical assessment of their musical contributions across various artistic disciplines.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
