The Master's program Lehramt in the subject of Art and Design deepens and expands subject didactic, subject scientific, and artistic practical knowledge. It forms the basis for qualification as a teacher in secondary education. The focus is on collecting and reflecting on teaching practical experiences, further developing independent artistic practice, and exploring productive, receptive, and mediating approaches to art, images, and media.
Im Masterstudium Kunst und Gestaltung erwerben die Studierenden vertiefte Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Kunst, Medien und Fachdidaktik. Die Studienschwerpunkte umfassen kreative und wissenschaftliche Ansätze zur Lehre von Kunst und deren Vermittlung. Die Studierenden befassen sich mit modernen Technologien in der Kunst sowie mit der historischen und theoretischen Reflexion von Kunst.
Das Studium ist in vier Semester unterteilt, in denen praktische Übungen, Theorie und fachdidaktische Inhalte vermittelt werden. Ein bedeutender Teil des Studiums ist der persönliche künstlerische Ausdruck und die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit künstlerischen Themen. Die Studierenden müssen eine Masterarbeit sowie ein Praktikum im schulischen Kontext absolvieren.
Absolvent extbackslash*in haben die Fähigkeit entwickelt, Schüler extbackslash*in in der Sekundarstufe kompetent im Fach Kunst und Gestaltung zu unterrichten. Sie sind befähigt, kreativ zu arbeiten, sowie fachdidaktische und kunstwissenschaftliche Themen zu vermitteln. Zudem verfügen sie über eine solide Basis für die selbständige künstlerische Praxis.

If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation

For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
