The Master program in Instrumental Music Education focuses on professional and practical training for teaching music in secondary education. It allows students to deepen their expertise in their chosen instruments while enhancing their artistic skills. This degree prepares graduates for the demanding realities of teaching in various educational settings.
Der Studiengang behandelt die Vermittlung und das Lehren von Instrumentalmusik. Schwerpunkte liegen auf der Künstlerischen und theoretischen Ausbildung, die auf die Praxis im Schulunterricht abzielt.
Das Studium ist in vier Semester unterteilt, in denen theoretische Fächer und praktische Unterrichtseinheiten organisiert werden. Der Unterricht erfolgt überwiegend in kleinen Gruppen, ergänzt durch individuelle Betreuung und Praxisphasen. Eine Masterarbeit schließt das Studium ab.
Absolvent*innen können komplexe musikalische Inhalte in den Unterricht integrieren, fachdidaktische Methoden anwenden und ihre künstlerischen Fähigkeiten professionell in der Schule einsetzen.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
