The Doctoral Programme in Clinical Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition aims to develop highly skilled researchers equipped to tackle contemporary scientific challenges, particularly in clinical research. It encompasses a broad spectrum of topics that bridge various medical disciplines, with a specific focus on endocrinology and metabolism. The program integrates practical research with theoretical training, enabling students to engage deeply with significant biomedical questions.
Students explore advanced topics in clinical endocrinology and metabolism. Courses cover fundamental research methodologies, nutrition, and regulatory mechanisms of hormonal and metabolic processes. Practical training is emphasized through participation in research projects and seminars.
The program is structured over six semesters, culminating in the submission of a doctoral thesis. Students are expected to engage in lectures, practical courses, and regular seminars to discuss their research progress and findings. The emphasis is on collaborative projects and peer feedback during the course.
Graduates gain expertise in clinical research methodologies and the application of medical sciences in a practical context. They develop critical thinking and the ability to conduct independent research, as well as strong competencies in analyzing complex medical data.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
