Master of Science in Clinical Research
The Master of Science in Clinical Research focuses on the professionalisation of clinical research with a strong emphasis on patient safety. It prepares students for managing clinical trials under Good Clinical Practice guidelines. The program is structured as a part-time distance learning course, allowing for flexibility while acquiring knowledge in clinical research management.
The program emphasizes health research methodology and biostatistics, focusing on the ethical conduct of clinical studies and the generation of valid results. Students cover key topics in clinical trials and patient safety, equipping them with specific training essential for roles in health care research.
This postgraduate program is structured over five semesters, culminating in a Master's thesis. The organization includes both theoretical and practical training, and students engage in various projects that simulate real-world clinical research scenarios.
Graduates will acquire competencies to lead research projects successfully and navigate international legal and ethical standards within clinical research. They will be skilled in designing, conducting, analyzing, and presenting clinical studies.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
