The Connected Programs in Molecular Medicine/Biotechnology aim to enhance theoretical and practical knowledge in molecular biosciences. The double degree program equips students with the professional competence to apply biotechnological methods in developing new products and services. Students delve into molecular biosciences and biotechnological methods, focusing on the intersection of medical issues and their biotechnology applications. Areas such as oncoscience, infection, immunity, and bioinformatics are explored.
The program is structured over six semesters with alternating attendance at the Medical University of Innsbruck and MCI. The final semesters primarily focus on independent Master’s Thesis projects within each institution, allowing students to apply their knowledge practically.
Graduates develop competencies in molecular-based diagnostic and therapeutic solutions, acquiring both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in laboratory work and biotechnological processes. They are trained to transition lab-developed methods to industry applications effectively.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
