In the MSc Culture Timber Architecture program, students explore the integration of artistic and technical knowledge centered on wood as a high-tech building material. The curriculum covers the cultural and technological aspects of timber construction, focusing on innovative and sustainable design practices.
The program is organized around an interdisciplinary laboratory model that fosters collaboration between architects, structural engineers, and builders. It emphasizes hands-on projects, group work, and the development of personal research and professional competencies over several semesters, culminating in a final thesis project.
Graduates develop strong collaborative skills and a deep understanding of wood construction techniques. They are equipped to work at the intersection of architecture and engineering, mastering both the creative and technical dimensions of timber architecture.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
