Bachelor of Arts (BA)
The Bachelor Programme is a six-semester program that explores the intersection of visual arts, public culture, architecture, and performing arts. Students develop spatial literacy through fieldwork, making, and collaboration. The program addresses human and non-human environments, reclaiming transitional spaces and reprogramming underused sites. It is structured around collaborative action-research processes that engage with urban spaces and diverse actors, shaping learning dynamically.
Students study contemporary design processes, exploring the intersection of art, technology, and culture. The program focuses on critical engagement with spatial concepts and creative practice, preparing graduates to innovate in dynamic environments.
The program is structured over six semesters, combining lectures, workshops, and hands-on projects. Students will complete a final thesis project that synthesizes their learning and explores their unique artistic practice.
Graduates will gain competencies in spatial design, critical thinking, and creative problem solving. They will be equipped to collaborate across disciplines and apply design strategies in various fields.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
