The Double Degree Programme Smart & Sustainable Design combines fashion design principles with sustainable practices. Students from both partner universities will engage in hands-on projects, developing their understanding of ecological and aesthetic design. The program prepares students for contemporary design challenges through a collaborative learning journey.
Students will explore sustainable design topics, emphasizing eco-friendly materials and practices in fashion. The program incorporates innovative design methodologies and technological applications within the art of design.
The program is organized into core courses and specializations over three years, culminating in a thesis evaluated by both universities. Students spend one year at the partner institution to ensure a comprehensive academic experience.
Graduates will gain competencies in sustainable design practices, project management, and creative problem-solving, making them adept in diverse design contexts. They will develop skills necessary for both independent and collaborative work in the design field.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
