Master of Science (MSc)
The International Joint Master in Limnology & Wetland Management is an innovative program designed for students interested in the sustainable management of freshwater ecosystems. Students will gain a fundamental understanding of aquatic ecosystems, with a focus on conservation and restoration measures. The program involves studying across three countries, allowing students to benefit from diverse academic perspectives and networks, which enhances global career opportunities.
Students in the program study topics such as aquatic ecology, conservation strategies, and ecosystem management. The curriculum includes fieldwork and interdisciplinary projects aimed at real-world application of skills and knowledge in hydrology and wetland conservation.
The program is structured over four semesters, starting with integrated study modules in Austria, followed by courses in the Netherlands and Kenya. The final phase consists of a research period where students focus on their thesis projects.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
