Das Bachelorstudium Agrarwissenschaften vermittelt Kenntnisse über nachhaltige Agrarproduktion, Umweltfragen und neue Technologien. Die Studierenden lernen, die Landwirtschaft der Zukunft zu gestalten, indem sie sich mit den Zusammenhängen zwischen Produktion, Wirtschaft und Umwelt auseinandersetzen. In the Bachelor program of Agricultural Sciences, students engage in a diverse curriculum encompassing essential topics like plant and animal production, agribusiness, and sustainable agricultural practices. The program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for addressing modern agricultural challenges, such as climate change and resource management.
The program is structured around a modular system, allowing students to progress through various phases, including practical internships and the selection of specialized electives over several semesters. Students are also required to complete a thesis, integrating their learned competencies into a cohesive project.
Graduates of the Agricultural Sciences program will possess a strong foundational knowledge in natural sciences, technical skills in agricultural practices, and an understanding of socio-economic factors affecting the agricultural sector. They are equipped to tackle interdisciplinary challenges in agriculture with an innovative mindset.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
