The Master's program in Cross-Disciplinary Strategies is designed for graduates from various disciplines and emphasizes project-oriented learning with a strong practical focus. In the Cross-Disciplinary Strategies program, students study the methodologies of art, humanities, and social and natural sciences to address current societal challenges. Key themes include global issues such as migration, environment, and nutrition, with a strong emphasis on artistic practices as a common language.
The program is structured over eight semesters for the Bachelor's degree, starting with an introductory year covering foundational knowledge. Subsequent years integrate cross-disciplinary projects and team work, promoting an understanding of complex interrelations within societal contexts.
Graduates develop a diverse set of competencies, including artistic skills and rigorous research methodologies. They are equipped to identify issues across disciplines, communicate findings effectively, and guide interdisciplinary teams toward sustainable solutions.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
