Master of Art and Education (MAEd)
Das Masterstudium Kunst und Bildung verbindet künstlerische Produktion mit kunstvermittelnder Praxis und Fachdidaktik. Es zielt darauf ab, Studierende auf eine Lehrtätigkeit an Sekundarschulen vorzubereiten und hat einen starken Fokus auf zeitgenössische Kunst. Studierende arbeiten an Projekten, die theoretische Perspektiven und praktische Anwendungen in der Kunstvermittlung kombinieren.
Studierende lernen künstlerische und vermittlerische Methoden kennen und entwickeln Fähigkeiten für die Kunstvermittlung in schulischen Kontexten. Sie beschäftigen sich mit Themen wie Diversität, Gender und intersektionale Didaktik sowie aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen.
Das Studium gliedert sich in vier Semester mit praktischen Phasen in Schulen, begleitenden Workshops und einer Masterarbeit, die entweder künstlerisch oder theoretisch ausgerichtet sein kann.
Absolventen sind in der Lage, künstlerische Praxis und Kunstvermittlung zu kombinieren und verantwortungsvoll im Umgang mit SchülerInnen zu arbeiten. Sie besitzen Fähigkeiten zur Reflexion über gesellschaftliche Herausforderungen.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
