Das Studium Gestaltung im Kontext – Unterrichtsfach Technisches und Textiles Werken vertieft die Verbindung zwischen Gestaltung, gesellschaftlichen Kontexten, und technischen Fertigkeiten. Es befähigt die Absolventen dazu, kreative Lernumgebungen zu schaffen, die sowohl praktische als auch theoretische Aspekte der Gestaltung integrieren. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt den Themen Nachhaltigkeit und sozialer Verantwortung in der Gestaltung.
The program focuses on contemporary art practices, integrating theory and practical skills. Students engage with various artistic mediums while exploring historical and cultural contexts of art production.
The curriculum is designed across several semesters, culminating in a thesis project that showcases individual artistic development. Internships and collaborative projects enhance experiential learning throughout the program.
Graduates will develop critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of artistic practices, while also acquiring technical competencies in their chosen medium. They will be equipped to engage with contemporary art in diverse professional contexts.

The level of legalisation your certificates need depends on your country of origin:
Apostille
If your country is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, an Apostille from the competent authority of the issuing country is sufficient.
No legalisation
A small number of countries have a bilateral agreement with Austria and need no further legalisation.
Full diplomatic legalisation
For all other countries: the full chain — pre-certification by the issuing country's authorities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs), then legalisation by the competent Austrian representation (embassy/consulate).
Translations are usually done after legalisation. Check the required order with the issuing authorities and the Austrian representation.
After admission: proof of sufficient funds, health insurance and the student residence permit are part of the visa process — not university admission. We cover those in the guides.
